FLAMENGO - A COOL NEIGHBORHOOD IN RIO

Just imagine a sunny day, super blue sky and a big area full of green and nature all around. A designed park called Aterro do Flamengo, great for a walking just to chill out and trying to make any problem looking small. Rio inspires you and when I can as I live close by, I just go down for a walk!

It is a lovely neighborhood, a typical middle-class district where the Cariocas love to make life good and easier...It is wonderful to have the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay and a park designed by Burle Marx in the 50s, making this park one of the largest urban green area in Brazil.

Flamengo is not far from Copacabana and it is near the domestic airport, everything easy to reach and with pleasant streets full of trees...it is a quiet space in the middle of the crazy city.

The Portuguese during the colonial times gave this name to the place because a lot of Dutch people used to live in this part of the city. Dutch people are "flemish" and "flamengo" is the Portuguese therm to translate it.

We simply love taking our friends to a cool picnic or just sitting together to have a good time sipping a fresh coconut water and laugh about life.

Visiting Flamengo Park can be a great option for a visit to Rio and I might stop there to make you see one of the most popular spots in the city, our people love going there!

As you know, this is a city of open arms, the Christ is here to hug you on the top of Corcovado Mountain, and Rafa is ready to hug you everywhere in Rio.

Yes, dear Reader, Brazilians love to hug, Brazilians love to kiss, we love showing our true feelings when we have people coming to Rio for the first time and be sure that more than a guide, I want to be your friend and main reference in Brazil.

LOTS OF HUGS, LOTS OF KISSES FROM SUNNY AND SHINING RIO DE JANEIRO
