SO MANY DIFFERENT EVENTS IN PÁRATY

It is really a good idea that people think about visiting Paraty, one of my favorite places in Rio de Janeiro State. You have everything here...important events happening each year...Paraty always have been the intelectual refuge to many people from all over the World since the real beggining of the town, and I am talking about way back in the past.

Paraty combines history, culture, fun and adventure! :) If you want to learn more about so many different issues a great choice would be coming to Paraty in August where the biggest World's Literature Festival takes place.

I hardly miss such a wonderful event that you can really meet famous writers such as Vargas Llosa, Isabel Allende, Gabo, Salman Rushdie and the elite of the Brazilian Literature such Gilberto Freyre, Jabor, Paulo Coelho, Ferreira Gullar and the brillant Sociologist and Ex-President Fernando Henrique Cardoso...Paraty welcomes every year the best "brains" in the Planet.

This is one of the obvious reason that I really go to Paraty every year. And I am happy that Paraty is a very present part of my tours that we can spend one full day (but get prepared to be in the road for 4 hours back and forth), or simply spend one or two nights in the old village and believe be, there are lots of stuff to do....

Sometimes we have the impression that Paraty deserves the whole week to be really explored!

And everywehre you go in Paraty you find something beautiful to wonder and in the quiet streets of the old village you simply forget about time.

Paraty is the place that I want you to discover.
