BUZIOS FOR ME, BUZIOS FOR US, BUZIOS FOR YOU, BUZIOS FOR EVERYBODY!!!

My photography work at Azeda Beach

Buzios inspires incredible images

Me in Buzios at Azeda Beach

Every reason is a reason for me to go to Buzios, sometimes I go there alone just to for a deserved rest. I see my friends, or I just pick up a nice Pousada, mostly of the time I stay at Pousada das Palmeiras which just like the name, you really have your windows to the ocean. Going to Buzios is something very common for me and Marcone, we like going out to some nice places in the State of Rio, and Buzios is for sure one of our best stops.

We go a lot there for fun and for work. We make your life easier in Buzios, we take people to Buzios and we organize tours there, arranging boats and also cool plces to stay.

Buzios has a big variety of Pousadas for all tastes and all pockets! But Buzios is also a place where we know that we will see beautiful people everywhere, it is a place that we know how to find a peaceful place in the shore to be away from our busy daily life. I love going to Buzios with my best friends, and all the friends who visit me usually go to Buzios with me! We have fun everytime we go to Buzios. Buzios is another home that I surely have in Brazil and there are much more to discover!

About 30 or 35 years ago it was just a small fishing village of the city of Cabo Frio, until Brigitte Bardot with the help o some brazilian friends decided to spend one weekend in a simple house in front of the beach! She was so delighted that she told to anyone in Europe about the wonderful time she spent there! We lost one peaceful fishing spot but we got one of the most delightful places in the World. She was famous and had voice in Europe, after that, the whole europpean jetset went there, together with the glamour people of Hollywood, then the brazilians, and now the argentineans and the chileans. For sure you will have fun in Buzios and I am sure that Buzios will conquer your heart!

Sparkling waters beaches, dramatic rock formations, trekking in the forests, or simply walking around in the cobbled stones streets of the village.
BUZIOS MEANS CHARM
BUZIOS MEANS GOOD TASTE
BUZIOS MEANS ADVENTURE
BUZIOS MEANS ROMANCE
BUZIOS MEANS LIFE AS BON-VIVANT
BUZIOS MEANS FREE SPIRIT.
It is a place for Nature Lovers...and one of the best spots for you to enjoy the beach

BUZIOS - VERY COOL - A PLACE FOR FUN

Buzios...It is one more place in Brazil with international fame!!! :)
And after a marathon of various great tours, Marcone, his mother who is visiting us, the almighty Corina; and of course MYSELF; decided to take a DAY OFF, right after Xmas Evening.
Buzios is one of the most popular destination for many brazilians and also many travellers who visit Rio. Now it became also famous for Cruise Ships which come to Brazil every year.
Beaches, nice and fashion people, incredible inlets and some spectacular islands...Buzios has everything.
Marcone and I always organize tours in Buzios so it is a place that we know alot and we can share with you some tropical secrets!!!
I really think that Buzios has one of the best gastronomy centers in Brazil, the restaurants there are simply fantastic like Brigitta, Don Juan, Bananaland....It is also a great place for shopping, clothes and crafts for all tastes.
Everything is gorgeous in Buzios, it is indeed one of the most sophisticated beaches in Brazil!!!
Write to us and get informed about how to get there, we do have some friendly prices to go to Buzios for one day, two days or more and we can also recommend the best Pousadas!

THE SOUTH EAST OF BRAZIL - YOU ARE COMING HERE!!!

Okay, a little geography before I start talking about some new places that will make you such an expert in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil when you get back home!!!

Most of my guests come to Rio de Janeiro first, but they have no idea, that Rio de Janeiro is the capital of a State which has the same name: RIO DE JANEIRO STATE.

And Rio de Janeiro shares the SOUTH EAST REGION of Brazil with other 3 States which are São Paulo. Minas Gerais and Espirito Santo.

Among this group of 4...RIO (THANKS GOD!!!! - Well, God is always there with his opened arms....) has the fame. Then São Paulo which is known as a COSMOPOLITAN CENTER of Brazil and the INDUSTRIAL POWER OF THE COUNTRY, which is a mistake....(I explain later), Minas Gerais famous for their ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS HISTORICAL TOWNS OF OURO PRETO, TIRADENTES, MARIANA AND CONGONHAS; and the less popular State of Espirito Santo which I am sure none of you have heard about it, which is very unfair to a State full of incredible immigrants traditions, excellent food, some very interesting coast line and wonderful jungle activities....

Anyway...It is a pety that São Paulo State is not so famous among our international visitors; and now thanks to the presence of many cruiseline ships, São Paulo has the opportunity to show to the World their amazing nature and wildlife!!!

And of course, I know alot about my own region and I have some incredible secrets not so far from Rio de Janeiro (or Santos if you are docking there) that I can show you, than ks for the help of so many nice local contacts and absolutely gorgeous places to sleep and eat.

SO IN FEW WORDS...When you are in Rio...think about visiting:

BUZIOS
ARRAIAL DO CABO
ILHA GRANDE
PARATY (There you can see the mountain range of Bocaina, the beach village of Trindade, you can visit the islands of Paraty, you can explore hidden afro communities who are there since the slavery time and you will see such a very very different life style that will make you recall the ancient times of Africa...so many wonderful things to do...)

And once you are in Paraty, even more impressive for your trip will be exploring the region of UBATUBA!!!!

MEMORIZE THIS NAME: U-B-A-T-U-B-A!!!!!

I just visited one of the most impressive places in Brazil full of wild life, desert beaches, fishing village where the pace of life are the same since the portuguese navigators and pirates used to settle there...lots of birds, all kind of nature and landscapes that will take your breath away...

I WILL TALK MORE ABOUT THESE PLACES...I WILL WRITE ABOUT PECINGUABA AND ITS EXTRAORDINARY NATURAL BEAUTIES AND THE PRAIA DA FAZENDA...this região is part of the State Park called PARQUE ESTADUAL DA SERRA DO MAR...

And the best news of all, it is very easy to reach!!!

HAPPY TRAVELS,

A PARADISE VERY CLOSE TO PARATY

I am so happy to have so many guests and big travellers writing to me to request tours and get to know Rio and other places through my eyes...And I see Rio and my country as a maginifcent, unique, local and simple destination...As you know I focus a lot on off the beaten path places and I am always paying attention about locations where you can have such a spectacular time!!!

In my trip to the north of São Paulo State and south of Rio de Janeiro State where I usually have my tours because all the cruise line ships docks at Rio, Ilha Grande, Paraty and finally Santos, and I organize tours in each destination....

That is why, it takes me a while to reply my emails, because I am always touring, I am always driving everywhere and as any normal human being, I have to find some time to rest...Just like I did for hours sleeping in a GAS STATION in the very countryside of São Paulo state returning to Rio and follow my busy agenda with my guests who are always coming!!!

And I am working alot, and I have some other great guides like Marcone, Diana and Cedric working with me! So we are assisting more and more people AND I WANT MORE PEOPLE TO COME!!!

Let's see Rio and the surroundings just visiting lots of very local places!!! WE ALWAYS SHOW PLACES AWAY FROM THE TURISM INDUSTRY!!! We see TOURISM in Brazil as something among friends!!!

And thanks to that, I will be able to talk about places like this wonderful corner between Rio and São Paulo State called UBATUBA....The pictures were taken in a wild location called PRAIA DA FAZENDA

I will talk more about it in my next post!!!!

LOTS OF LOVE,

Rafa
