Well, of course a typical Carnaval in Rio is not typical if you do not go to the Samba Temple where all the schools present their themes, floats and members in total happiness!!! It is a competition of colors and fantasy! From the poor to the rich we all go there!!!
Samba School is the name given for each community that is part of the Carnaval Content at Sambodromo...great arena where you can see the best and unique Carnval in the World. Each SAMBA SCHOOL has between 5000 and 7000 members which compete every single year for the best position in the SAMBA RANKING.
Every year working or not working Marcone and I go there!!! This time we took a break after a very busy high season showing our guests the best of Rio...We danced like crazy and we sang until loosing our voice!
Our guests from UK, Glen, Marion, Ros and Les were also at the Sambodromo but they stayed in different sectors, but they knew we would have to go there!!!
After going to so many samba school rehearsals at Portela and Viradouro that we love, it is necessary to be at the Sambodromo to see a great performance!!!
This year Salgueiro was the great champion, indeed the whole parade was fantastic!!!
We had a blast this Carnaval and we are know waiting for the next one where for sure you will have the oportunity to experience!!!
