Here is the situation, you came to Rio before, so you went to the Christ, and you visited the Sugar Loaf. Two classics of Rio; and for sure you will visit it on regular tours...Well, my tours are not "so regular" (it is unique) and you need to save your time and you do not need to go to these places again. Beautiful spots, but there are much more to see and places that people never hear about before coming to Rio de Janeiro.
The Christ on the top of Corcovado Hill takes a lot of time to go there, you can opt between taking a train which is old and has a very confused timetable, and by van where sometimes the lines last forever; the Sugar Loaf also takes a big part of your day, and you have just one day!!!
But Rafa has a solution: PARQUE DA CIDADE in the very unknown city of Niteroi. Not so far from Rio, we just need to cross a very interesting long bridge on Guanabara Bay, you do not pay any fee to go there and you will have one of the most awesome views in the country!!!
Not going to the Christ or to the Sugar Loaf you save money and with this money you can afford a great lunch in a very local place, and the taste of Brazil will be in your life forever.
You will have more time to see more of Rio with me!
So add Niteroi in your plans and your trip to Rio will be just remarkable
