FACES OF BRAZIL - MARANHAO - THE UP COMING TRIP

Brazil has such a tremendous diversity that always impressed me. I travel alot in this country and I always find different cultures, primitive ways of living and fascinating hidden places in this endless brazilian territory.

Modern Brazil with the sophistication of a Mega City like São Paulo; the bon vivant way of live of Rio de Janeiro where you stroll around in Copacabana to see and being seen. Brazil of magic football and with a louder voice in the World's Scenary...

Well, we keep on finding NEW (AND VERY OLD - NEVER CHANGED) BRAZIS...

Brazil of so many PRETO VELHOS...(old and wise afro seniors) that dictates the manners, behaviors and health of a long and distant quirombolas, old slave villages stucked in time in the far ends of the country. People who never have heard about INTERNET or even TV...People who just strive in life to be happy and give happiness for their beloved ones...People who preserve the land without any sense that they are saving the Earth, people who teach us about life with simple acts, people who respect you just by smiling and wishing you a good day...

In our hurry universe we never stop to say hello to a person that we have never seen in our lives... I have to confess that once in a while I say GOOD MORNING to strangers...

A black profile that lives exactly like our brothers in the far ends of Africa...One Brazil that is not the Brazil that we know...a Brazil of primitive habits and decent life...A Brazil were the best lunch is taken from their own backyard. A Brizil completely different from what we see in pictures, videos or people's conversation. One Brazil that you do not even imagine to visit.

Brazil with hope, Brazil with no addictions...Brazil with some innocence.

A country within a country...Brazil far from our own imagination!

THIS LAND IS CALLED MARANHAO!!!

Bare foot, slow life and time...no hurry...speedness just the wind and the strengh of the river...Dirt road...sound of Nature...Life that never changes...

Who am I to judge whether it is good or bad??? i just respect and let life go...

Misterious, surprising, fascinating...

Yes, Maranhão...I am coming back for more adventure of a country (which is mine) that I will never know.
