FROM MY WISCONSIN FAMILY

LARRY'S MESSAGE FOR OTHER COMING VISITORS!!!

I would highly recommend the Rafa as a guide when in Brazil. We spent parts of 3 days with him this Spring and had a great time. There are several reasons why I thought he was such a good guide. First, he is fun loving and has a great sense of humor. He would be fun to spend time with even if you were not in Rio. His tours take advantage of opportunities that present themselves...eg feeding local monkeys bananas, or having a snack with the locals downtown. Second, he has a very broad knowledge of everything going on in Rio....stuff that could not possibly covered in tour books. We were interested in music and he gave us good recommendations on where to go and where to avoid. He also took us up to the Cristo via backroads that gave a spectacular alternative view of the city and of Corcovado. These roads were all but deserted. Finally he is flexible. If the weather is not good or someone is tired, the tour can be altered without problems. Rafa also has a great camera and took fantastic pics for us..... many of which he posed and arranged. They are some of our most memorable memories of Rio!

Sincerely,
Lawrence Platt
