Feira do Nordeste...this is the name of a place that I am sure you have never considered to visit...in my opinion, this is a place that you must visit during the day and you have to visit during the evening. But we just can go there in the weekends...

The restaurants are all locals, I might be one of the fewest people that take people from other countries there and once we get there...we always have an experience of a life time. I always go to Chiquita Restaurant where I know the owners where they always make sure that my guests have fun.

Dishes like BAIÃO DE DOIS, wonderful Amazon Fish like Tambaquis, the best of the northern smoked steak CARNE DO SOL, and all the best and most genuine brazilian cocktails. Their Caipirinha has the fame to be the best in Rio, all this with lots of people, lots of music; it is one side of Rio that very feel people know.

No no no, it is not a Broadway production, it is just my friend Cassia helping me to some great fun in the market.

We can do a lot in the Market...people from the North-East, a region that we call NORDESTE has lots of tradition, legends and funny stories; one of the legendary characters in the culture is a lawless man called Lampeão that always gave a hard time for the local farms, stealing the rich to give the to the poor; yes, we had our Brazilian Robinwood, and when you see Rafa and Marcone with strange clothes...we are making a sort of tribute to this person and also dying of laughing with our guests!!!

Feira do Nordeste is a festival of different smells, colors, drinks and food...and the whole environment is covered with high energy, this is the unique opportunity that you will have to feel how Brazil really lives in your heart.

I do believe that visiting a market is the best way to understand the soul of the place we are visiting. Brazil is there...waiting for you!!!

Feira do Nordeste opens only in the weekends, so once you come I will do my best to take you there...if you want to see the authentic Brazil in your first visit in Rio, then we are talking...
