We love adventures and the argentinean side of the Falls is a fantastic invitation for adrenaline and strong emotions. Marcone proved to be a TARZAN when he decided to go down this little abyss using these cords, he saw a beautiful creek and amazing rock formations...my heart was beating more than the drums of a RIO SAMBA SCHOOL and I decided not to do it...As my english friends say: IT IS REALLY NOT MY CUP OF TEA!!! :)And Marcone does not like Tea but this Tea he drank with passion!!! :))))))
Rappel and zip line is part of the adventure, but do not worry, if you are not into radical emotion you can have a simple hike in the Forest and it will be a great chance to see the incredible and lush flora of the Iguazu Tropical Forest and also a wonderful chance to see many animals, specially birds.
Well, I was talking to myself to see if I can do it...and I DID IT...Marcone tried to convince all the time that I had enough guts (and cojones) to overtake any challenge, actually he was a great help. 
I work a lot with IGUAZU FOREST GROUP and I highly recommend their services in the tours I organized in the Falls. These activities in the wild can be made very early in the morning or in the afternoon after 2:00 pm. As a traveller crazy for nature sights, as someone very expert in the area (humbling speaking) and with all the facilities that you can find...THE ARGENTINEAN SIDE IS THE BEST WAY FOR YOU TO EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE MOST SPECTACULAR SHOW OF THE NATURE!!!!LAS CATARATAS DE IGUAZU - No doubt one of my favorite places in South America and for sure one of my special visited places in the World!!!!
Marcone and I were there almost one month ago, in the first week of November, this year...and we decided to take some time to relax and you know myself fairly well, I do not rest when I go to places for resting...we have to explore, we have to see more posibilities for our guests...And the Argentinean side really provides better activities and amazing adventures!!! One of them is GRAN AVENTURA...you take a truck to the river through the jungle and you board a speed boat that will take you LITERALLY IN THE FALLS!!!!I apologyze not to share the photos because I could not take any photos....as a result you get ABSOLUTELY SOAKED!!! And we needed to protect our cameras...All I can tell you is....DO IT...It is the best moment of EVERYONE'S LIFE...Seeing the huge falls so close is simply speechless...Impossible to describe so many emotions!!!The boat is very very well equipped, the navigators are extremelly experienced and all you will have will be TOTAL FUN!!!!The way to the "Falls Explosion" is also an amazing chance for you to understand the rich fauna and flora of our tropical jungles and to see other hidden falls in the Park. You will understand more of both sides in Falls. You will always have these wonderful memories during your whooooooole life!!!
Also, in the park for sure you will see the DEVIL'S THROAT...It is also known as GARGANTA DEL DIABLO...HOLY MOLLY....it is really an enormous THROAT...the intense Iguazu river flows with violence to a big hole in the middle of the forest...Saying "big" is not enough to describe the size of this hole and the ammount of water is COLOSSUS, if you understand the meaning of this word. From Devil's Throat you can really notice that the Devil swallows a lot of water, hahahahahahah :))))))Anyway....It is funny to realize that THE DEVIL'S THROAT is one of the most perfect GOD'S CRIATION that I ever seen in my entire life!!!!
The access to the Devil's Throat can be only made in the side of Argentina, right in the entrance of the National Park you go to a train station. The train is a pleasant way for you to follow the course of Iguazu River, you can see many birds and all the nature in extasis...It is a real spectacular experience. The train will leave you in the beggining of the trails (very well done pedestrian bridges) in the river and the more you approach the Devil's Throat more you will hear the sound of the water and I tell you....it is like a THUNDER....
In the park you have the upper trails and the lower trails that will lead you soooo close to the Falls, every curve you turn you come across with tremendous views...It is sooooo lush and so complete that you feel part of the Nature...Sometimes you take yourself to the very biggining of the MISSIONS and realize how everything used to be when the first conquerors stepped foot there!!!GET PREPARED TO TAKE THE BEST PICTURES OF YOUR LIFE!!!!

For the record this one of the most beautiful places in this Planet!!!! This is also one of my favorite travel destination for leisure, for total pleasure and also - BELIEVE ME - for work!!!
Iguazu Falls is a very important part of my tours, I am a tour guide there and I have a great team working for me in this lovely area, that means...if you ever think about visiting the Falls, do count on me!!!
But this time Marcone (my great friend and great tour guide researcher) and I decided to spend five this in the region to rest a little and also research about new things to do in the area and be ready for total adventure!!! If you like jungle activity, IGUAZU FALLS are the right place for you!!!
In your trip to the falls you have to start in the brazilian side, this can be done as soon as you get in the brazilian airport of Foz do Iguassu city. Make sure you will have a driver to keep your luggage, so you can go to the PARQUE NACIONAL DO IGUASSU, this is the entrance to the Paradise and the beggining of one of the best adventure in your lives!!!
DEAR READER, when you come across with such a wall of water in front of you...you will feel the strengh of Nature and how perfect a God's creation can be...even if you do not believe in God, you will realize that "THERE IS SOMETHING BEYOND".
The Falls has two sides...the brazilian side that belongs to our Parque Nacional do Iguaçu created in 1986; and the argentinean side that belongs to the Parque Nacional Iguazu since 1934...Brazil and Argentina share this paradise and you just need to go there and see everything they offer!!!
The brazilian side has a very nice structure...you can walk in the trails very close to the Floriano Falls, this is the best angle for incredible shots, or you can also go rapelling right on the edge of the falls from a big big platform.
Do not miss the restaurant PORTO DAS CANOAS...great buffet restaurant with the best of brazilian food. Actually they have the best restaurant in the area.
So a nice idea would be coming to the brazilian side earlier to have lunch at Porto das Canoas and then you can explore all the area.

It is always a privilege to be back to one of the most beautiful places in the World...it is a dream of every traveller to see such a wonderful sceneray, it is a dream of every adventure to experience the power of nature!!! I am so fortunate to lead small groups in there and once ina while I go there myself in order to see the new places, to meet my friends and simply to enjoy the nature. Five days, that's all you need to have a complete experience in the Falls, many people come to the Falls with way less time and this is a serious mistake. Iguazu Falls also means JUNGLE EXPERIENCES and you have to explore both sides, the brazilian side which can be covered in one day and the argentinean side which deserves days and days to be explored!!!
You have to be really closer to such a gorgeous attractions, to understand and recognize every corner to make your trip complete to Brazil and also to Argentina which shares such a paradise, we need to understand every little trail for you not to miss any single angle of one of your most fantastic trip...this is really the journey of a life time and it has to be special!!!
Brazil offers such a unique view of the whole complex of Falls and also allows you to see the size of Iguazu Falls, it is so amazing and so unique. A visit to the falls in the brazilian side is always better when you do it right in the first day when you departure from the airport in Foz do Iguaçu. Then you can make your way to Argentina with one of our drivers. You will have time to be in front of such amazing nature creation, explore all the trails to the main platform called Floriano Falls and you will have time to have lunch in the very nice restaurant PORTO DAS CANOAS. Pay attention that the restaurant is only opened until 4:00 pm. If you are in the Falls after this time then just eat in the argentinean side because the other options are expensive and not so good!
The argentinean side in the Parque Nacional del Iguazu is waaaaaaay more complete and it is bigger, so it will deserve all your attention; the whole visit will take the whole day and the main attractions starts in the park and every where you go you have a fantastic surprise, starting by an impressive walk to see the DEVIL'S THROAT, or la Garganta del Diablo which is a non sense whole in the middle of Iguazu River where all the water goes to follow the course of the river. It is like seeing a giant mixer and you wishing not to be an orange!!!!There you can take the famous speed boat to be under the falls....crazy but absolutely necessary experience and please never forget that once you are in, you will be absolutely soaked...so get some extra clothes in your bag, but never missed, it will be a wonderful IN LOCO explanation about the environment and a fabulous experiece for you to understand about the jungle and see both sides of the falls in a RIVER PERSPECTIVE....
Puerto Iguazu is where you should stay, do not forget to visit the Argentinean Embassy website - http://embassy.goabroad.com/embassies-of/argentina - and the best option for you to experience the gaucho way of life. A quiet and very cute town full of wonderful and traditional restaurants, a place with nice and sophisticated bars with great music and safe atmosphere. Great hotels, hostels, cottage and lodges. It is indeed a fantastic way to start any trip in Argentine and learn more about the culture of the MISIONE'S JUNGLE. A place where you will learn about the misterious GUARANI CULTURE, a place where you will be in touch with the nature even in the yard of your place. I am back...hardly I can update my so beloved my blog and make my dear reader so updated with my latest news because I simply cannot stop with so many work....My email box is being bombed with so many tour requests for the next immediate days and I am planning itineraries, I am touring all over the city, I am always touring out of the city, out of the State of Rio de Janeiro and sometimes even out of the country.
